Caricatured Buildings, Architects
For both architecture and caricature lines are vital; they are two disciplines where lines meet life. "Caricatured Buildings, Architects" includes the work of architect - caricaturist , focusing on the interactivity of these two disciplines.
Some significant architects and their designs or some other famous personalities who had a relationship to architecture are the subjects of these caricatures. The mutual interaction of the designer and the design or the subject and the object constructs the main axis of the work.
All through the history of architecture, the buildings were formed according to changing ‘trends’ even if their function stayed the same: Gothic, Classical, Modern, Postmodern, Late Modern, New Modern, Constructivist, Deconstructivist, Organic, Inorganic, Vernacular... on examining the plans, sections, elevations and three-d images of these buildings, we see that in fact they are trying to communicate some messages. "Caricatured Buildings, Architects", is an attempt to read these messages through caricatures.
