In the years when conservation was a new topic and the techniques of restoration were only just being discovered, many of the works Cahide Tamer undertook in this field, such as Amcazade Huseyin Pasa Yalisi, Rumelihisari and Yedikule in particular, can be summed up by saying, "The work of restoration is like writing a poem."
