ARCHITECT TO IMPERIAL COURT AND REPUBLIC: VEDAD TEK |
Vedat Tek- Works
Many photographs and sketches are to be found in ’s archives. These documents show the path he followed in his architectural career, quite apart from his work in renovating palaces. His sketches for his main works, among which were residential buildings suited to the life of a modern city in the First National Architectural Style, and others which show a line of development stretching as far as Art Deco, reveal that he kept up with the styles in architecture current in his lifetime.
Footnote for Researchers:
There are illustations of various works in progress for those who are interested in building technology and types of apartment buildings and various dwellings for researchers into the development of architecture.
For historians and those interested in urban spaces there are photographs of organized meetings which took place in front of the Land Registry Offices to protest the handover of Crete to Greece.
