Antalya, Kaleköy
This small theatre, which is completely carved into the stone, is inside the castle and has seven rows of benches. It faces south over the Eastern Roman towers which were renovated during the Middle Ages. This is the smallest ancient theatre in Turkey and the radius of its orchestra is nine feet and five inches. It has a total of three radial stairways, which are situated in the middle of the cavea and at the row ends. Some relief work which looks like unrefined lions’ claws on the heads of stairs at the edge of the orchestra pit can be made out. A section of the radial walkway on the left has been lost. There is no stage edifice.
It is for approximately 210 people.
