Notion Theatre

İzmir, Menderes, Ahmetbeyli

This theatre of the early period was modified by the Romans and enlarged with the building of support walls and a vaulted entrance. In the first level of the west facing theatre are 15 rows of seats. In the second level four rows of benches remain, although the original total may have been 19. Between the two levels is the circular walkway, which is six feet and six inches wide. The radius of the orchestra is approximately 41 feet. From this we can assume that the stage building stood at about 54 feet high before its collapse.

Notion theatre has a seating capacity of approximately 4,000 people.
